On April 14th our student leader, Anna Joy Beck (3.B), together with the deputy mayor, Michal Jedlicka, presented at the international conference Light pollution..
The meeting took place at Opava City Council. Listeners from the Czech Republic and Spain were introduced to our project and plans for the new city district Stromovka (en. Tree district). There were also several other presentations about similar projects from Spain.
The conference was held in English and was attended by 6 presenting almost 40 listeners.
If light pollution interests you, there are brochures accessible at the Ministry of the Environment. They also mention our Emissions project from the Silesian Gymnasium as an positive example of taking responsibility for our environment.
