History of The Project

3.10. – 9.10. 2021 Eight students and three teachers visited Plymouth, England. They presented for the Plymouth city council and organized a measuring trip.

8.6. 2021 Projekt Emise získává jménem Slezského gymnázia titul Světová škola.

14.5.2021 Anna Beck, project leader, presented at the international conference Light Pollution, along with deputy mayor Michal Jedlička and professor Martin Petrásek.

16. 3. 2021 We met with city officials and discussed new legislation regulating light pollution and its enforcement. Present are: Michal Jedlička - Deputy Mayor, Petr Stanjura - Chief Architect, Marek Drozdek - Opava GIS map network administrator, and Jan Hazucha - Head of Technical Services.

25. 2. 2021 We met with the Deputy Minister of the Environment, Vladislav Smrž. The meeting was joined by Anna Malsová and Anna Paskova from the Ministry of the Environment, and Pavel Suchan from the National Academy of Sciences.

23. 1. 2020 We attended a meeting with the Deputy Mayor, Chief Architect, and Director of TS Opava. We presented our research findings ​​in the streets of Opava and proposed a solution to the problem plaguing our town and country.

26. 9. 2019 We met with the mayor and informed him about the state of light pollution in the city of Opava.

25. 6. 2019 We met with Senator Herbert Pavera. We debated about the topics of light pollution, incineration in municipalities, and also about the involvement of students in the government.

16. 5. 2019 We participated in the Conference on Sustainable Development Goals, where we presented the activities of the Emissions Project in the field of light pollution.

6. 5. 2019 The project representative Honza Ibler and the project founder Luděk Plachký went to the Senate of the Czech Republic in Prague..

5. 4. 2019 Our presence was requested at a meeting with Lukáš Borunský and Kateřina Kokešová at the European Commission. We managed to secure opportunities for changes in legislation and cooperation of the EU.

5. 4. 2019 We attended a meeting in the European Parliament and meet with a Member of the European Parliament Jiří Pospíšil.

3. 4. 2019 Our project was selected to participate in the Erasmus + education campaign program in Brussels, where we met our partners from Devonport High School for Boys in Plymouth, England.

19.-24. 3. 2017 Student representatives visited Belgium. In addition to several Belgian cities and many monuments, we also had the opportunity to visit the seat of the European Parliament in Brussels, where we attended several lectures and presented at a conference.

2. 6. 2016 A meeting with MEP Ing. Kateřina Konečná took place at the Silesian Grammar School. She shed light on the functioning of the European Parliament and invited us to the Emissary in Strasbourg.

5. 11. 2015 Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová gave a lecture on the goals of the Emissions Project at the conference "Ostrava Air and Local Heating". The meeting was also attended by the Minister of the Environment Mgr. Richard Brabec.

10. 12. 2014 Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová and the disciple Lukáš Onderka are guests of the television show Ekomagazín on Polar television, where they acquaint the general public with the project and the consequences of poor combustion.

23. 9. 2014 Na Slezském gymnáziu probíhá první setkání žáků základních škol účastnících se projektu Emise. Přednášejí zde Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová, Mgr. Karel Kučera, RNDr. Kateřina Durčáková, Ing. Radomír Štěrba a host – náměstek primátora Mgr. Dalibor Halátek.

16. 5. 2014 Project guarantor Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová presents in Třinec the extension of the project at the second meeting of the working group for solving the inappropriate situation in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The meeting also attends the Minister of the Environment, the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, mayors, etc.

22. 4. 2014 We present the project for primary and secondary schools in the meeting room of the City Council in Hláska. After the presentation, schools are offered cooperation.

28. 3. 2014 At the Regional Office in Ostrava, a meeting of project representatives with experts in the field of local heating is taking place. We have a discussion with the head of the Department of Air Protection and Integrated Prevention of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Ing. Marek Bruštík, and the Deputy Mayor of Klímkovice Ing. Unuckou and other experts, such as Smokeman, on the issue of local fireplaces.

10. 3. 2014 Representatives of the city of Opava approve a grant of CZK 32,000 for our project. The money raised will be used for his further activities.

7. 3. 2014 Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic Mgr. Richard Brabec is coming to see our project. Along with him, the mayor of Opava prof. PhDr. Zdeněk Jirásek, EVVO coordinator RNDr. Kateřina Pálková, and Mrs. Kamila Plocková, for the organization Clean Sky. We present the project and chemical experiments and at the end of the program Mgr. Tkáčová with Mgr. Hoňková, and Mgr. Robenko's vision of the entire project and our plans for the future, after which Mr Brabec takes over the patronage of the entire project.

20. 2. 2014 At the invitation of MP Ing. Kateřina Konečná, we set out to present our activities at a meeting of the Committee on the Environment of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. We calm down positive responses and get invited to cooperate to create an effective measure to regulate the local heating plant. We establish cooperation with the Minister of the Environment Mgr. Richard Brabec. He also offers an aegis over the project.

21. 1. 2014 The first of the planned patrols of emissaries in the streets of Opava is underway. We drew the attention of the inhabitants of poorly heating houses to the negative consequences of their actions for the environment and especially human health.

20. 1. 2014 In the national round of the "Design a Project" competition, we take 3rd place. We presented the project to experts at the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic.

12. 12. 2013 Five of us together with Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová participates in the regional round of the competition "Design a project" (link here), where we present the Project Emissions to the representatives of the Regional Council of the Moravian - Silesian Cohesion Region. The jury liked the project and thus awarded us 1st place with the promotion to the national round.

4. 12. 2013 We begin cooperation with the organization Čisté nebe o.p.s., represented by project manager Kamila Plocková.

20. 6. 2013 At the City of Opava, we present the Project Emissions with all its intentions. We also create a request for a subsidy for the printing of distribution brochures. Brochures state, for example, how to heat so that people do not harm the environment or how to draw attention to possible problems. Lectures on the topic of "healthy air" take place at the Silesian Grammar School. The project is provided by Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová, Mgr. Alexandra Hoňková and the disciple Luděk Plachký as guarantors for SGO and for the City of Opava Deputy Mayor Mgr. Dalibor Halátek expresses support for the project and takes over the auspices of it.

13. 6. 2013 Training for the legislative team is taking place at the Silesian Grammar School. Under the baton of the deputy school principal Mgr. Karel Kučera, we are learning to create and use presentations correctly.

23. 4. 2013 We addressed a former student of the Silesian Grammar School, Radim Maloch, and asked him to work with us in the field of legislation and communication at Masaryk University. Following this we are offered help from JUDr. Jana Dudova, PhD. from the Department of Environmental Rights and Land Rights of Masaryk University.

28. 2. 2013 David Martiník, a student representative, met with the Deputy Mayor Mgr. Dalibor Halátek, school principal Ing. Milada Pazderníková and Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová at the Silesian Grammar School. They discussed the poor state of the environment in Opava and its surroundings. Mgr. Halátek outlined the intention of the whole project: to inform the public about the state of the air and the possibilities for its improvement.

January 2013 A group of students from the Silesian Grammar School noticed coloured flags on trolleybuses signalizing deteriorating air. Learning their meaning upset them greatly, and they started asking themselves what they could do to change it. In the end, they decided together with Mgr. Kamila Tkáčová to form a project that will fight against harmful gases in the atmosphere.
